On October 31st, Upper Schoolers packed into the Sterling Place performance space for one of Berkeley Carroll’s most festive annual traditions: the Halloween costume contest. Special guests included Jean-Michel Basquiat, Wonder Woman, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Ross, Frida Kahlo, and Big Foot (with pink toenails). The event kicked off with a spooky Spirit Squad performance to Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Then the contest began as characters paraded down the stairs onto the stage to show off their eclectic array of costumes. Each participant stepped into the spotlight, introducing themselves to the amused audience. The Blotter captured this vibrant assemblage in the pictures below.

Congratulations to the contest winners for best faculty costume, group costume, and individual costume! The winners were Jelly Bellies (Dr. Hughes), Simon and Garfunkel (Maddie Korbey and Chloe Shane), and Lil Uzi Vert (Idriys Ali-Chow).
