When Joe Biden was announced as the president-elect of 2020, people all over New York, and the rest of the world, erupted into cheers and celebration. The future president and vice president received messages of congratulations from leaders of countries all over the world including Iran, Israel, India, Nigeria, France, Germany, Fiji, and many more. Out of all the videos of celebration I’ve seen over the past couple of weeks—though I may be biased, being a New Yorker myself—I found NYC to be the most festive.
