Boys Soccer Dominate Saint Ann’s

Today Berkeley Carroll’s boys soccer team reclaimed victory against Saint Ann’s in a close 1-0 match. “I think we played harder than we have in any other game this season,” exclaims senior Matteo Heilbrun. Senior Charlie Tomb agrees. “Midfield and defense played with near perfection”, he explains, but “we all played really well today. Everyone was just relentless. We dominated them much more than the score would suggest.”
While the Berkeley Carroll team ruled the court, the score itself was close: freshman Michael Eve scored for BC—breaking the tie—with only ten minutes left in the game. Because Berkeley Carroll lost to Saint Ann’s last week, the stakes were especially high. However, while today’s match was a suspenseful game, it ended in a roaring victory. “It was a really big win,” Charlie explains, “because it moved us up in our ACIS standings. We lost to Saint Ann’s last time, and this was a good morale booster, and kind of a reminder that, if we try, we can beat any team.”
